RFLCT. is designed around a simple principle: your reflections are between you and God. We built this app so that your journal entries never leave your device. There are no accounts, no servers storing your data, and no analytics watching what you write.

1. Who we are

RFLCT. ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent app published by Kraig Kubicek. You can reach us at Kraig@rflctdaily.com. This Privacy Policy applies to the RFLCT. mobile application (iOS and Android) and the web version at rflctdaily.com (collectively, the "Service").

2. What we collect — the short version

We do not collect, transmit, or store your reflection content anywhere outside of your own device. Specifically:

Your journal entries and reflections — stored locally on your device only, in your browser's or app's private storage. We never see them.
Your settings and streaks — stored locally on your device only.
Account information — none. RFLCT. does not require an account, email, or password.
Analytics or tracking — none. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party analytics tool.
Advertising identifiers — none. RFLCT. does not serve ads and does not use the IDFA or Android Advertising ID.

In plain English: If you uninstall the app or clear your browser data, your reflections are gone. We have no copies, no backups, no recovery option — because we never had them in the first place.

3. Information handled by third parties (not by us)

App Store and Google Play

When you download RFLCT. or purchase RFLCT. Pro, Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes the transaction. We receive a confirmation that you are a Pro subscriber, but we do not receive your name, email, payment method, or billing address. Google Fonts (web version only)

The web version of RFLCT. loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser may connect to Google's servers to download the font, which can involve Google temporarily logging the IP address your browser connects from. This does not happen in the native iOS or Android app — fonts are bundled locally.

Netlify (web version only)

The web version is hosted on Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify receives standard request information (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for operational purposes such as abuse prevention and performance. We do not access or analyze these logs.

4. Push notifications

If you opt in to daily reflection reminders, RFLCT. uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on iOS or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) on Android to deliver them. The notification content is a generic reminder (for example, "Time for your reflection") and does not include any of your journal content. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

5. Children's privacy

RFLCT. is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app contains no objectionable content and is rated 4+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, we also do not collect it from children.

6. Your rights and choices

Because your data lives on your device and not on our servers, you have complete control:

Access: Your reflections are always visible to you within the app.
Deletion: You can clear individual entries within the app, or delete everything by uninstalling RFLCT. (mobile) or clearing site data (web).
Portability: You own what you write. We encourage you to copy meaningful reflections into a journal or document you control.
Subscription management: Manage or cancel RFLCT. Pro in your Apple ID subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play subscriptions (Android) settings at any time.

Residents of California, the EU/EEA, the UK, and other jurisdictions with privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, etc.) have the rights described in those laws. Because we do not collect or hold personal data, most of those rights are satisfied automatically, but you can always contact us at Kraig@rflctdaily.com with questions.

7. Data security

Your reflections are stored in the private storage area of the RFLCT. app on your device, which is protected by your device's operating system. The strongest protection is the one you already have — your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. We recommend enabling these on your device if you haven't already.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this Privacy Policy, we'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app. Continued use of RFLCT. after an update means you accept the revised policy.
